<VV> Late heads on early engines

I have done this many times.  You use the gasket that fits the head so
it doesn't fall out while you are trying to install the head.  All you
are doing with the hose clamps or any other piece of metal is
"centering" the head around the barrel.  In fact I just put the spacers
on the two end cylinders as the middle one is automatically centered.
Works fine.
