<VV> Membership Both Ways

OK... So Mike, Harry, who.... someone at CORSA Bod or CORSA offices sits
down and sorts through 4,000 names of CORSA members to determine who is not
a member of any local and there apparently have been little or no reports
from the locals in about three years (per Sarah's email). Once that
monumental task which is based on faulty information is accomplished, then a
letter goes out saying something to the effect - the closest local to you is
#XXX chapter and you need to send them a check for $XX to pay local dues or
be dropped from CORSA. This does not sound either doable or smart. I
thought the idea was to increase membership - not drive folks away.
Gimme a break... and not the car kind of brake. <GRIN>
No offense taken - nor intended.

No offense, but nowhere here did I see Mr. Marlow say that members of cluibs
had to physically attend the meetings.
I do agree. CORSA needs to bear some of the responsibility here with the
falling numbers. I think it is a great idea for the Chapters, a benefit if
you will, to find members of CORSA in their area who do not belong to a
Chapter. I reason to believe local clubs may benefit from several new
members.

Since there are CORSA members who live 100s (maybe even 1,000s) of miles
away from any local chapter and would likely never have the opportunity or
pleasure of attending a local meeting, it seems to me to be an unreasonable
requirement. What chapter would you suggest for David Neale?
