Carl,
Right on "Mate"!!! Since CORSA already has members in Australia as well as Europe and other parts of this increasingly smaller world, we have to take the International viewpoint.

Hi Everyone (from down under in Australia)
Re: Membership question -- 100% vs Not.
I read with considerable interest the various comments concerning membership of CORSA.
As a International Member I wonder if I should comment but here's my view.
I am proud be a member of CORSA and I sincerely see the issue of being more of 'what can I do to support CORSA' rather than 'what should CORSA do for me'.
I am a member of a number of US based car clubs, but CORSA in my view rates as the best club and if I could only afford membership of one of these clubs then that club would be CORSA.
Consider that as an international member, it cost me 'thousands' of dollars and hours of international travel to attend the annual CORSA convention regardless of where in the USA the convention is held.
The major benefit I receive as an international member is the Communique which I generally receive 2 weeks after US members have received their copy and commented on it via the virtual vair group.
PLEASE, PLEASE do not call the CORSA annual convention a "National Convention" as it is in everyway an INTERNATIONAL EVENT or at least should promoted as such.
Stop thinking nationally and start thinking internationally. Its a very big world out there and CORSA should stop seeing its self as simply as a domestic operation.
I am possibly 6-8 years away from retirement. In retirement or perhaps if I find a little more time over the next few years I generally would like to become seriously involved with CORSA. I believe even from the other side of the world I can give back an organisation that has supported my interest in Chevrolet Corvairs.
Let's all STOP this view that CORSA owes us something. We as members owe CORSA and unless we get behind CORSA our club will slowly die.
