I think the answer is blood, sweat and tears (there was a band by that name,
I saw them at Winterland in the late 60).  Lots of people have tried to
trace the ownership history and most if not all states won't give out any
info.  Cream headlined the show at Winterland!

How does one go about finding the history of their Corvair ie. first owner, 
 second owner, third owner, etc. Did the car reside in the Southwest or  
Northeast and so on.
