<VV> PayPal questions

If you get any email that says PayPal on it, forward the entire email to
spoof at paypal.com. You will get a reply saying this is a phishing expedition.
I have had a lot of them in my 9 years using pay pal. Common sense will tell
you to delete it or send to their spoof address, as mentioned they will
never ask any personal info via email.

Much more importantly, they will never ask you to click on a link in an
email. And they will never, never, never, ask you in an email to provide
your user name or password.

If you get such a message DELETE it. To check your account status use your
browser and the PayPal address you saved in favorites or just www.paypal.com

I got a letter from PayPal over two years ago warning about fraudulent
emails. PayPal will NEVER send an email with the following Dear PayPal
Customer.... They will ALWAYS use your FULL name in ANY correspondence. Keep
this in mind when reading and responding to PayPal emails. Same hold true
for EBay.

PayPal has been hacked. Their email list is available and being used to
phish for your info.

Not exactly correct - Every E-mail list in the world is being used to phish
for Paypal info - Trying to find anybody stupid enough to respond to the
Phishing e-mails. "Using" Paypal may be expensive for a buyer or seller -
but is not any more dangerous that any on-line credit card usage.
Responding to e-mail from anybody with your personal data is the risky
activity.
