In response to your question, it depends entirely on the condition of the MC
and why it's leaking. If there's a deeply corroded pit right where the
rubber cup is, it needs to be sleeved and rebuilt or you need a new one.
Those are your only two options. If there is no pit, which is doubtful,
just hone and install a new kit. The solution is clear once you look at it.
