I agree that, if someone can't afford CORSA dues, they shouldn't be
involved with Corvairs as they can't afford collector cars.
I'm not sure $100 dues are the way to go. I think CORSA membership
might drop from 4,600(?) to 600.
I would agree with bringing VirtualVairs and FastVairs and maybe other
groups "in house" and requiring CORSA membership to access them.
Currently, we give it away free. CORSA's still about broke. It's not
working!
I also think chapters should pay more to be chapters. I read several
chapter newsletters and am often floored at how much money some
chapters have - while the national organization is almost broke. Non-
profit, incorporated chapters don't need thousands of dollars tied up
in CD's or savings accounts. I know some chapters won't donate money
to CORSA because they think CORSA doesn't spend it's money wisely.
When CORSA's gone they can sit around and say, "it was all their own
fault, the way they spent our dues."
