Chuck: Not misinformed, but forgetful and probably inarticulate.
How many cars were at the Corvair gathering the week or so before the Mitty?
I assume there were more than 16. And if they all had been at the Mitty, in
the Corvair Corrral, doing normal Corvair gathering spit and polish
activities, what would the impact be?
There's been much talk of getting Corvairs out so the public can see them.
Folks at vintage races are car people to the core. They are our kind of
people.
The idea is to figure out how to purposefully replicate what you guys did
with equal parts enthusiasm and good fortune.
Historically Yours,
James

Hi James, You must be mis-informed. We had Corvairs in a separate Car
Corral each day of the Walter Mitty with 16 Corvairs in the Saturday Corvair
Corral and seven race cars on the track. We had Corvairs participating in
every Parade lap event and every touring lap event on each day that it was
featured. I should know as Darth Vair told me about it !!! <GGG>
