You might want to check the catalytic converter for blockage. As they 
get worn out and filled up, the engine starts to die at higher speeds. I 
had this happen in an '86 Jeep CJ-7 that I once owned. Eventually the 
car just died to a stop under load. Replacing the converter with a 
straight pipe did the trick.

Sta-bil will not really help that situation - it's great stuff for long 
term storage but it won't address the root of this issue.

If electrics were the issue you'd not bog down as much as buck and rock 
under load.
