One other thing - I have had trouble getting a Corvair to idle if the  
carburetor shafts are worn.  New shafts are available from the  
vendors.  The Pertronix only changes where the distributor is  
positioned for initial timing.  Once the timing is set, it has no  
effect on the advance curve.
