Thanks Smitty for preventing me from having to say the same thing. Again 
- anyone who is having the kind of problem as described has a HUGE (and 
obvious) problem that can and should be fixed.  Lon

Mechanical fuel pumps have provided fuel for Corvair engines for untold millions of miles.  They are still providing fuel for most of us.  Only way to fly?  I think not.
