<VV> Electric Fuel Pump Control

I currently have an electric fuelpump feeding my Œ65 140. The only problem
I have is with the way I wired it for power: whenever the key is on, the
pump is running. I am now adding a controller which will turn the pump on
for 3 seconds when the key is first turned on, but then will only allow the
pump to run (or continue to run if the car is started in those first 3
seconds) when it receives a tach pulse. As soon as there is no tach pulse,
the fuel pump turns off. Basically the same as a modern EFI car. I know
most people just add an oil pressure switch to the engine and a button under
the dash to accomplish the same thing, but I feel my solution is cleaner.
You all know how it goes, as long as I am building one, I might as well
build 10. If there is anyone interested in owning one of these, contact me
off line. Price would be $59 each. Just to put any worry to rest,
automotive electronics has been my profession for 15 years; I have worked
for some of the big names in the performance automotive industry and can
assure you this product is designed and built to be a quality add-on to any
car.
