<VV> tire pressures

I can't resist joining in the beating of this very dead horse. Ron, if
you're happy with the pressures you're running, go ahead and run them.
No one gives a rat's behind what pressures you run. Someone asked for
recommendations and people, including you, gave them. The
manufacturer's recommended pressures are ALWAYS a trade-off between ride
and performance.

If you don't think that higher pressures equal better handling (up to a
point), you clearly haven't driven your Corvair in a performance
situation such as autocross, track day, etc. Pressure DOES make a
difference and factory recommendations are too low for the best
handling! Some of us also like that additional performance edge in
everyday street driving.

Truly this is a case where YMMV (or is it, YPMV).

Which abrogates any need for higher air pressures in order to obtain
better
handling!
