<VV> Greenbier glass question

Pulled rear door and fixed rear side window glass from the brier a while back for some bodywork. Hv new clarks window rubber for re-install. Id like to be able to drive it til I can afford a good paint job so my question is...is it a big deal for me to re-install the glass, pop it out again later for paint, then re-install everything a 2nd time - ie will the window rubber be ok?
