Subject: <VV> Oil pump suction tube
There was/is a tool to pull the suction tube and screen out of the block and
reinstall a new one such as the Otto parts deep sump pickup tube. Clark's
says it is 'discontinued". Does anyone have a tool like this they would
sell or loan to me? I think the Otto Parts suction tube is larger in
diameter so the tool must have two different sizes. How do you guys remove
or install the tube? I'm not too concerned about removing the stock one as
it will probably go in the trash but I don't want to dent or bend the Otto
pickup trying to pound it in. I suppose heating the block or freezing the
tube would help on the install process. Thanks, Clark Hartzel
