<VV> OIL ADDITIVES revisited?

any new suggestions on oil additives that can be found at flaps to add to  
break in oil?  just something else to worry about these days with all the  
engines i have on the bench for winter (3). i have been using older  havoline  
straight 30w or 40w left over from my v8 boating days , but after  reading a few 
posts wonder if i need more. i use assembly lube with moly in it ,  and coat 
the cams with scheiders stuff supplied with the cams , but not sure  where i am 
with zinc etc these days.
thanks for all the a/c replies , i may just stick with R12 after a good  
checking out of the system.  i want to attempt  to keep it stock.  good a/c is not 
needed as much as a good heater here in the land of snow.
