<VV> Virtual Vairs - presentation and tone...

Bryan,
I'd like to use this as an excuse to say a couple of things about VV.
First, I like the format. I haven't seen one I like better. I'm a member
at Corvair Center, and spend way more time here on VV. When I want to keep
something here, I can just drag it over to one of my Corvair e-mail folders.
I haven't figured out how to do that at CC.
Second, VV is clearly more of a revenue booster than revenue drain on Corsa.
It's a great place to shame people into joining Corsa. Worked that way with
me. ;-)
Third, yeah, sometimes we sound like assholes here. I don't know what you
or I could do about it. One of the attractions (to me) of VV is the banter.
I'd hate to see a bunch of rigid rules about what we could and couldn't say.
It's pretty much a club meeting. It seems to me to be a little self
aggrandizing to start worrying about whether our collective personality is
running off potential members. This is not a service organization with a
charter to save the world and help underprivileged Corvair owners. It's not
a political party that has to hide its true self in order to attract more
members. It's just a club. Clubs are made up of people with similar
personalities and similar interests. People that don't fit in, don't join.
That's why I'm not a member of my local Corvair club - no personality match.
