Just to let you know, I got the top to work. It involved dropping a small
chain down the hole where the top motor wiring comes up through the "shelf" in
the well for the top. I then used a coat hanger bent to a hook to snag the
chain. I attached a replacement wire to the chain and pulled it up through the
hole and spliced it to the remaining piece that went to the plug in the
"shelf". The other end is terminated on the
circuit breaker near the battery.
Even though the back seat is on the lawn, I HAD to cruise
downtown,GGGGGGGGGGGGG
Thanks to all for your info
Ralph
In trying to find out why my power top wont operate, I traced it down to a
cut wire (the red/white trace wire) under the plug going through the "shelf"
and down to who knows where.
I got the bench of the back seat out but the back of the seat moves
slightly
at the bottom but won't come lose.
Any suggestions from our able mechanics?
Ralph
