Excellent post, Chris! You make a number of valid points. I also enjoy
being subscribing to VV. It seems like I learn something new every day. I
inherited my '63 monza convertible from my late father about 10 years ago,
but didn't really have the time to be as active in my local club as I
probably should have. Now that my kids are grown and out of the house, I
have become more active in the club (currently serving as president) and I
have been diligently reading the VV posts for almost a year now. In fact, I
even have the posts come to my blackberry device so that I can read them
when I have down time. I am able to stay caught up this way without having
to login to the computer. Reading the posts certainly fills the time when
the wife drags me to the mall.
I have initiated only a couple of questions (generally for a fellow club
member), but I have always received an answer to my question. I know that
my knowledge is quite limited compare to most of the VV members, but I am
hoping that over time maybe some of this vast knowledge will rub off on me.
I must admit that while I joined VV to gain more technical knowledge, I find
the human nature side of VV to be quite interesting.
