While searching on Google (_www.books.google.com_ 
(http://www.books.google.com) ) for books  associated with Auto racing, I ran across an excerpt from a 
book titled: "The  impact of publicity on corporate offenders"  By Authors  
Brent Fisse, John Braithwaite. The excerpt on Google encompassed pretty much  
their whole chapter on the impact of the Corvair  affair on GM and the Auto  
industry as a whole. I found it worth reading. It discusses, rather  even-handedly, 
the Nader incidents, the trials, and the impact on GM. If that  part is too 
depressing, the next chapter cover the Pinto gas tanks. Maybe that  will cheer 
you up.
