<VV> E-85 and my new engine

  For those who are wondering about my 65 Corsa that I've been running on E-85. I have a nice up-date. About 700miles ago I installed a fresh 110hp engine in my daily driver Corsa. I built it with fuel economy and E-85 in mind. The best I had done on gas with this car was 18mpg. The engine was clapped out. So I decided to try it on E-85 for a while just to see what would happen. It worked fairly well despite gloom and doom warnings from many.
         I felt good enough about it that I went ahead and built a new engine for it.At the same time I removed a bunch of weight from the car too. I also installed a 3.27 rear gear. Well yesterday I just finished my third tank of E-85 with a mileage check. It averaged 20.6 mpg. I can't complain about that because the engine isn't fully broken in as yet (moly rings). But the good news is I bought my E-85 for 3.19 a gallon. For us here in Indy,that's 70 cents per gal. cheaper than regular unleaded. Seems like a better deal now then it used to.
