Yup, that is weird electrics, maybe happens that way in Hollyweird, but 
in the rest of the world, you apply a voltage to a load and the amount 
of the load (assuming necessary and appropirate wiring ,etc) determines 
what the current draw is.

And talk about weird -- if those Pure Power Oil Filter folks don't know 
any better than they are saying, I wouldn't use one of their filters if 
they paid me -- well, maybe if they paid me enuf I might think about it 
(parts and labor, no questions asked, plus an extra 50% -- should be 
able to build an engine for under ten grand). 

Since this heresey came off the internet, maybe a better internet 
reference is needed, such as Second Chance Garage's 'How Oil Filters 
Work' -- "The dirty oil is passed (pushed under pressure) through the 
filter media and back through the central hole, where it re-enters the
