So what is the current thinking for LM replacement batteries?
Ideally, I'd like one that has the right size footprint to use the factory
hold down clamp and has the positive terminal situated closest to the
front, nearest the red cable.
Would this be a 24F or is something else more suitable?

last year i still could get an interstate group 53 at the marina. @$100.00
they are still used on some construction equipment , like generators and
compressors. most are converting to group 51R or 56? honda stuff.
