<VV> Scizzors lifts

Pete Koehler was kind enough to loan me a lift for my garage and I
praise the thing every time I sit on my stool and work on the bottom of
the car without having to crawl around on hard concrete.  One thing I
must mention however is the fact that the center of gravity on a Corvair
is about a foot ahead of the rear wheel.  If you support the car on its
normal jack pad area it is precariously close to falling backwards off
the lift.  On my Corvair dune buggies I have to put the pad under the
strut rod bracket (late series cars) as it WILL fall off the back of the
lift.  Once while working on the rear suspension I had to put the pad
under the frame and chain down the front to keep it from doing a
"wheelie" on the lift.  Be careful out there!
