Dues increases do NOT necessarily reduce the number of members. When the 
Board increased dues from $27/year to $35/year, the number of members 
actually increased over the year. That increase was effective July 1, 1997.

1995: 5,547
1996: 5,556
1997: 5,519
1998: 5,549
1999: 5,598
2000: 5,510
