<VV> Hubcaps & trim rings VS wheelcovers

OK guys, pay attention,
The 1960 & 1961 Corvair rims are the only rims that the "original" 13  inch 
trim rings (with the little bow-ties around the edge) will fit. They have I  
believe 4 sets of raised bumps that hold them on.
That is NOT to say the aftermarket trim rings won't fit... of course  they 
will, as they have the built in teeth that dig into the wheel.
Another bit of confusion is with the term "hub cap". This is a different  
animal all together from a "wheel cover". Still confused? The wheel cover has a  
hole for the valve stem to pass through, the hub cap does not.
The 500 & 700 came with hub caps, with wheel covers  optional... the Monza (& 
Corsa) all had wheelcovers.
Another misnomer is the term "dog dish", as ALL "hubcaps" resemble a dog  
dish.
Now, I bet all that is as clear as mud, huh?
