I barely squeaked through Chemistry, so I won't comment. What I will add is that the Corvair carbs are probably not calibrated closely enough to allow safe use with the Converter. But the fuel injection conversions, especially if they have either a wide-band or narow-band O2 sensor adding to their controls, may control the mixture well enough to make the converter a useful add-on. How about a competition for the cleanest running Corvair? Running a certified test on a standard federal or state test cycle.?Comments?

It may be hydrophilic, but won't add H2O to form H2SO4. That takes
oxygenation of H2SO3, formed by combination of H2O and SO2 (from burning
sulfur.)
