I had this happen (peeing tranny fluid) on a '64, years ago. Coming out the
converter housing. This was from a COLD startup, and idling a few minutes.
Never happened again; assumed a leaking torque converter seal, but why
didn't it leak again?
My '68 PG did that a few times in the past too. I just thought it was
because of a leaking seal and the car was on a slight slope. No fluid leaks
otherwise. But it hasn't happened recently--and it is still the stock tranny.
I'd still like to know why.
Bob Hall.
