I will echo Hank's sentiments here -- dollies are for short local towing 
of vehicles that have either axle disabled, whether from collision or 
mechanical damage.  The general typical design puts no weight load on 
the vehicle hitch, leading to a designed in shimmy -- reccomended for 
low speeds only.  Some dollie systems may be better than others.

The free wheeling hubs are not a complete answer either, as they change 
the load on the vehicle's bearings from what they were designed for, 
like extreme offset rims.

Either trailer it or flat tow it, watch out for which way the wind blows 
on convertible windows, have about 300-500 lbs tongue weight on a loaded 
trailer, and quit whimpering.
