I'm thinking about towing my Corsa Cvt 4-speed on a tow dolly behind the RV.

This would have the front wheels on the dolly and the rear wheels on the
ground. Has anybody done this?

Is this mechanically safe for the Corvair? Any chance of damage to the
transmission or differential?

Well, yes, a slight problem. When towing a MT with the rear wheels on the
ground and the tranny in neutral with the engine off, the cluster gear doesn't
turn. This means that the tranny gears and bearing aren't getting lubed. Not a
real problem for short distances or if you run the engine perodically. But
could be a problem for long distances.
