i never drop the tank on cars or fc's to do tubing work (start shootin') ,
i push the new lines thru and secure at both ends with a dab of silicone
rubber. you definitely can get the tubing in some of the existing clips with a
long stout screwdriver. you can cut the ends off and pull the old tubing out
to make a rough pattern for the new piece. when you cut the tubing off close
to the fittings you can use a 1/4 inch drive socket to get the nut loose.
i have done this to several vehicles over the years with no problem.
just double check any brake work for leaks (with a helper pushing very hard
) after you bleed it out.
remember to double flare all brake tubing and no compression fittings.
