Jim,
My '66 had the same brake light problem after I replaced the dash harness.
>From what I remember (I'm at work and can't access my notes) there are two
wires that I think are orange, but one has a stripe. They both have the same
type connector, so they can easily get mixed up. I think the other one is
for the radio, but I'm not sure. If you can figure out what I'm talking
about with my vague description, switch those two wires and see what
happens. If no one chimes in with the proper colors, I'll find out when I
get home and let you know.
