I still have a Seiko 23 jewel date watch that I bought in Vietnam.
It still works fine but I seldom wear it now.
As a Stationary Engineer a wrist watch is not a good idea.
I do have an Invicta self winding (no battery) watch that has a clear
crystal back so you can see the "real" watchworks.

As an informal survey, post what you are wearing for a watch.

Always wore a Seiko as an every day watch, since my first self-winder
bought
in Japan on R&R from Vietnam. The first one lasted about 15 years - Others,
no so long. Now day/date electrics. Comfortable and easy to read for old
eyes. They do get beat up, though.I have a gold tone Pulsar electric for
dressier
wear. - Seth
