Harry said they were caged nuts.
Lonzo used the term "keeper" - as did you.
It has been so long since I've had a PG car, I just don't remember any
longer and can't find a clear picture of this - in trying to help cfm.
My thinking at this time is that he has the wrong (too long) bolts and that
is what has ruined the "keepers" or "cages" - whichever. If cages - can
they (the cages with loose nuts inside) be welded back on while in the car?
If keepers attached in some other manner, can they be reattached in some
manner? You mention "spring loaded". I just don't recall that.
OK... NOW - Main Question at the moment....What is the correct length of
the bolts???
Anyone?
Based on the CU422 # from the link you provided, there is the statement -
not a perfect match. So far as you know, they work JF?
