Bob is referring to CORSA membership not VV.
Reading the prices for some other classics in Hemmings, and Corvairs are
right in the mix of things. Average prices for Corvairs is higher than
some lessor known cars from the 60s; equal to many others. We do lag
behind the popular cars from the era, the muscle cars, whose prices have
shot thoriugh the roof from speculators. Prices for Corvairs, in my mind,
have jumped considerably in the last 5-7 years.
Club membership is declining in other clubs besides CORSA. Seems to be a
national/international trend, in part because of the internet. Attend a
show, display your CORSA sticker, talk about the local chapter, the
upcoming convention, your find a new member or two. Several local CORSA
chapters are showing growth, that's a good sign.
