Frank, he means an added oil pressure shutoff switch for the electric fuel
pump. All stock Corvairs (and FCs) have the switch for the oil pressure
light.
BTW, some other cars in the last 50 years don't have a switch and light,
they use a pressure gauge only. Some recent cars have both.
But of course you were just being humorous and left humor out of the
title... ggg
"The Other Frank" DuVal
Stephen,
While I don't have info on the "early" (1964 and earlier) Corvairs,
ALL
later models (1965-69) have an oil pressure switch that turns on a red
light
on the dash to warn of low or NO oil pressure. It's hard for me to
believe
that ANY car in the past 50+ hears does NOT have this kind of switch
installed
to warn the driver of lack of oil pressure so he can shut down the engine
before it is destroyed.
Check your wiring diagram. What year is your car?

Frank Burkhard

Mine doesn't have an oil pressure switch. So, it should fill up the
bowls before ignition. I will be installing the impact switch,
soon._____________________________________________
