<VV> Carpet question...

Getting ready to install the carpet in my '65 Corsa - it's never had 
since I got it (rebuilding basket case). I have here some brown jute (?) 
underpad for the carpet and insulation for the convertible package shelf 
area.

* are these 'stock' items or something that someone added later? They 
look die cut and the right size...
* can I wash these somehow, without damaging them?
