We've got a blazer with that feature in the overhead display. I played with
it for a couple of days when we first got the car trying to see how long I
could keep the average MPG at 60 or above just after a fill up. I was
actually surprised that I could keep it there quite a while. Econorun
practice?
Anyway, I got bored with that pretty quickly. About the only "sort of"
useful feature is the ability to see how many miles are still in the tank
based on the average use to that point. That car is now 7 years old and it
has probably been that long since I've even looked at that display.
Now we just leave it set to show direction and outside temp in F.
