<VV> Wheel recommendation please

Hello, listers,
     I've read a variety of opinions here and can't seem to detect any
clear consensus.  In a 15X7" wheel, would the preferred backspacing be
4" or 4.25" for a wheel to go on a Late Model?  What has worked best
for you?  What do the "experts" say?
