Smitty Says.  I have had a Greenbrier, a Rampy and a station wag for a total of about 30 years.  All had generic closed cell rubber strip seal around the edges.  All three were hinged at the front, and none of them required a latch or bolt to stay closed and noise/air tight.  Of course it might have been nice to have one latched closed if you turn one over.
