<VV> Preserving New Cast Aluminum Look

I have a new cast aluminum intake manifold and valve covers (for my V-8) and would like to keep?them looking new for as long as possible.? I have a spray can of matte clear lacquer but have been told that sooner or later it?may turn a little orange.? Does anybody know of a product that will protect the surface, not change the appearance,?and not be affected by heat?
