In all the years I've lived in CA, I never considered Danville a suburb of
CA, It's across the bay and on the other side of the coast range. May be
because I still remember it when all the towns had space between them.

Well - It is kind of a "Bedroom" community for the richer folks of the SF
Bay Area, and really in the middle of the Coast range. Blackhawk is a
beautiful museum. Our local Corvair club has had a couple of car displays there. Not
inside, where almost every car is worth more than all our clubs Corvairs
combined <grin>, but outside, in the display area. At the invitation of Cadillac
(I guess I hit the demographic) I attended an evening party there, complete
with great food, where the newest Cadillacs - and several Vintage ones, were
on display. Also a couple of "Future" concepts were being shown and evaluated.
Free and fun - and I got to tour the rest of the Museum, too. It is 365
miles North of Ventura, though. You will have no problem finding a ton of things
to do in Southern California, though. For the Car guy - the Petersen Museum
should be high on the list. Be sure to check out what the Clubs will offer
for official tours! - Seth Emerson (A NorCal guy!)
**************Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape.
