<VV> Two part : rich exhaust fumes & better ignition system

   I have noticed that the exhaust from this '65 110 is really rich - lots of unburned fuel.  Needless to say the fuel consumption is higher than normal.

 Also,  noticed a couple of  fouled plugs ( sooty stuff , easliy cleaned carbon fouling. )  Chokes look OK and are fully open when the engine is running,

My thoughts turn to a perhaps more robust ignition  system than the old points.  

Any one care to share any favorite upgrades to the ignition system to give it a bigger zap?
