<VV> left air vent on my 65 sedan

Hi Ron,
 
No problem with the brake handle but on my 65 sedan it was a little of a hard pull due too all the putty behind it.

It's been maybe 30+ years since I've done a left kick panel vent. 
I've forgotten if the parking brake handle interferes with removal.  
Advice, anyone please?     -ron 65,66
