Paul asked:
Found on my 66 Corsa (formerly a turbo) now a Crown conversion

They are white nylon, each has a 3/16 through-hole, measures 3/4 X 5/8 X
1/2.? Viewed from the side, it?has a trianglular shape with a hook-like part
at the top.? I think I have about six of them.? They had undercoating
material on them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Craig Replies:
Those are found on every late model Corvair; they're the spacers used on the
rear cove "C" molding studs. The molding goes onto the rear of the quarter
panel, their studs protrude into the engine compartment cavity. The plastic
wedges go on the stud and magically transform the irregular surface in that
area into a smooth, vertical surface for the retaining nuts to land on.
Eight required per car.
