Near me I have an old time hardware store that actually has a locksmith.
For $10 he can make a key for any lock.
I have taken in Corvair door locks to him to get a key made and had no 
problem.
A lot of places that make keys, just have a key machine run by someone 
without a clue.
A locksmith can make a key to suit the lock.

If they are worth the expense depends on if you want to use the locks or 
not........
I beleive the early model lock is not as common as the lates.
