i have over 200ft of soldered copper 3/4 or larger in my new shop. air drops
all over the place. i also have 3 air drops in my cellar off the same
compressor. the compressor is in the garage separated with a 17ft breezeway so
noise is not a problem. the shop is only @12ft from the back of the garage.i
added a 100 gal tank in the shop because of the demands from my blast cabinet.
the compressor is one of those new napa 7hp units..wont do what my antique 4hp
gardner denver unit did at the other house , but it seems to do what i need.
so far i am pleased with this setup , good thing , because it was a heck of a
lot of work to install. i also put in a lot of heavy wiring for the welder
, the old recycled built in oven i cook heads in , and my upstairs ham radio
equipment (yet to get setup).
i have the new type pex tubing running water underground inside black
plastic pool tubing to feed the bathroom i cobbled in the new shop. i have a wall
electric heater set at 40 to protect it all. so far things are working well.
now i can do almost anything i want to my cars in peace!! (except club
projects that come up).
so long as that plastic is deemed safe by authorities i would use it if i
had known earlier..gotta be cheaper!!
regards, tim colson
