Yeah, it's been brought up before, by me.
It always gets taken as an insult to Harry & Mike, which it isn't, they are
doing a great job with the tools they have been given; or it gets shot down
because it's basically seen as too much work or that it just wouldn't fly.
While I agree it would require a radical revamping of the way CORSA does
business, the current model only seems to be headed in one direction, and no
small amount of tweaking is going to change that, IMO.
Don't forget, a few years ago I made a HUGE drive to sign up new members.
How many new members did I personally bring to CORSA? I don't recall
exactly, but it was at around 50. What do you want to bet that only about
10% of those are still members? The folks in Western Canada that were
members before that drive, probably still are. But those new folks that
came in at that point have by-in-large, left, and if we don't figure out not
only how to attract new members, but retain them for the long term, it just
isn't going to work.
Which is why I hope the BOD pays extra attention to the surveys they don't
agree with. Most of the ones they get back are going to be from the choir.
It's the small percentage of disenchanted folks that actually return surveys
that are going to matter. Those are the ones that some careful examination
of will hopefully point the direction for the future.
Regards,
Joel

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and my memory isn't what it
once was, but I'd have to say I never remember the retailing of the
Communique like Cars and Parts or Lowrider or Super Chevy being brought up
before.
Would take some marketing research to gauge the viability, but it's not
anything to dismiss out of hand.
No argument here, and I know that's different for you too, but it sounds
like an idea worth the expenditure of the time of the Board and M&P
