I've installed 66 trannies in 65s before, the shifter is fine as is. You MAY
need to adjust the coupler a bit, but that's about it.

You could possibly cobble something together if you didn't have the right
stuff...
I could be wrong, since in my 18 years of 'vair ownership I've only had
three 4 speed 'vairs, and two of them were '63 Greenbriers... one a '65
Corsa...
