<VV> CORVAIR AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSORS

Hi everyone,
 
It's my understanding that the original equipment A6 GM air conditioning compressor installed in Corvairs differs from the A6 GM compressors used in other GM makes and models.
 
If my understanding is right then can someone tell me exactly how they differ?
